Cold but it sure beats having to shovel all that snow in NE

We are experiencing the cold weather so common here on the Pan Handle in February. Near freezing nights and cool upper 50's in the daytime. Interesting enough though the Gulf here in Destin/Fort Walton is in the low 70's - hopefully a precursor to fish arrival - if they're not already here.
So on Sunday we explored the area looking for biking trails - certainly not overrun nearby but enough so we plan to get the bikes out and working this week.
We also found that the area caters to a huge summer crowd with lots of summer wear stores, access to beaches and many state operated parks right on the water. Beaches are pristine and fine sand so walking is a real pleasure.
The other thing are the winds are really steady so kite flying should be a blast - just got a new one from Gwen and that will be one of the first we put up. A few steps and we're on the beach so that's another thing to keep us busy.
Finally, went to the condo gym yesterday and found that it is as good as any gyms we've been too. In addition to treadmills and stationary bikes, there is a complete set of machines AND a great selection of free weights. Used the free weights yesterday and a couple of the machines. Really tempting to go faster (heavier) than I should but will work my way back to my usual casually rather than break something early on.
There is a sharing with the Ramada next door and last night was movie night - THE GUEST - strange but compelling movie.
Then today is coffee gathering then beano at 3. Phew, so much to do and so little time to do it.  Oh, forgot to mention the Italian share tonight - thought I'd bring my bruchetta to share - should go over pretty nicely.
